BOYFRIEND

Image
I've posted plenty about boyfriend jeans since starting this blog. Denim has been staple in fashion since, well, ages. It's classic, it's versatile and it's been reincarnated in so many forms. I don't think any wardrobe is complete without some form of denim. Boyfriend denim is one of my favourite trends. It's mostly a casual type of jean but I do think the boyfriend style can be adapted for work & also classier situations. Here are a few of my faves: BOOHOO Distressed Bleach Relaxed Jeans, $50 KOOKAƏ Boyfriend Jeans, $140 RIDERS BY LEE Tomboy Rigid Jean, $99.95 COUNTRY ROAD Slouchy Boyfriend Jean, $129 ONE TEASPOON Black Awesome Baggies, $150 SUPRE Alexa Boyfriend Jean, $45 For a casual look, team with a vintage band tee and chucks or sneakers. For work, opt for the no-rip option with a silky collared shirt and a blazer, plus a pair of black boots. And if you're out on the town, go for a strappy cami or a leather top, and...

H&M PICKS

Since H&M opened its doors a little while back now, I've only ventured into the iconic GPO store ... once. Even though my uni was about 10 minutes from it, and people have raved on about it, I just haven't had the guts to go back. Especially because when I did try to go, I stood in the rain for 15 minutes and when I finally entered the store, I didn't see a single thing I liked, and anything that vaguely looked like something I'd like to purchase looked bad quality. Alas, I'm sitting here typing this post in a warm woolie jumper and home boots, freezing my ass off and inadvertently browsing through the H&M website because something popped up on my Facebook feed about it. Suddenly I have the urge to take the train into the city and throw all my money at this large European fashion retail giant because I see a lot of Winter stuff that I want & need am totally drooling over but probably don't need... Here are some of my top picks from the H&M ...

AJE

Image
YSL jacket, $2350 | Seed Heritage wrap shirt, $63.96 (ON SALE) | AJE catara skirt, $390 | House of Harlow earrings, $49 | Nars Bronzer (Laguna), $55 | Alexander Wang purse, $695 | MAC Viva Glam, $36 So it's swotvac, which is study-vacation for those who don't know. A week off from uni supposedly for cramming & studying and planning for uni exams. Sadly, many I know seem to start online shopping, baking & eating, and procrastinating during these times, ha. So naturally I bought two Aje catara skirts, as you do. I'd been lusting over them for ages, and I don't know why but I suddenly just decided to go for it! I have to say they are incredible pieces of clothing. I'm planning to wear one tonight, to my boyfriend's b'day dinner. The little outfit idea above is one I would love to wear out, (and also a bit of a wishlist, hello A. Wang clutch!) - black sequin skirt, drapey white shirt and comfy ass kicks. That's my kinda style! Now to find...

PASHLI

Image
So I think I've fallen in love with an inanimate object. No, it's okay, I'm not going to leave my boyfriend for it. I'm not going to marry an object , I just can't stop thinking about it & keep stalking it's page on Net-A-Porter . Now I've always said that I'm not a bag person...I'd rather spend my money on a few good pieces of clothing than buy an 'it' designer bag, but when I saw the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli with a blue croc-embossed leather something changed inside of me. I need this bag. It is perfection in a bag. So I'm saving up my pennies now coz this Phillip Lim baby is gonna be mine, alllll mine. x x Stace PS. If anyone would like to make a donation to my Pashli fund, feel free ;)

AUTUMNE

River Island white wrap shirt , $50 / Sass Bide bra / Isabel Marant round cap / Grey sunglasses / Marc Jacobs floral perfume , $105 / ONE TEASPOON Paradise Awesome Baggies , $130 So it's officially April, and the leaves are falling from the trees. We've had the weirdest mixture of too-stinking-hot-to-wear-clothes days, and omgomgfreezingmytitsoff days where the wind chills to the bone. So typical of you Melbourne, you're so predictable. Naht. Anyway, I think the trickiest part about trying to pick outfits is knowing whether you've worn enough layers to keep you warm on the walk to the train station in the morning, but also having something underneath your wooly jumper for when it gets sunny and you're working up a sweat that could rival the Yarra river... So here are a few essentials I've rounded up for the coming couple of months. Boyfriend jeans, check. A white shirt that can be layered up, check. Wedge sneakers (need I remind you guys of my obssession...

VALENTINE

View this collection on Polyvore Valentine's Day by stacylong Hey guys, so it's Valentine's Day in two days' time, Friday the 14th of Feb. No matter whether you're single and ready to mingle, or happily loved up, I'm sure you have plans for Friday day or night. Here are a few suggestions for different outfits to wear. There's a night in one and a casual one, but also some more dressy ideas. Enjoy! It's sorta a wishlist too, there are a few items on there such as the New Balance sneakers and the tartan dress that I absolutely adore! I shall most likely have some photos of whatever I decide to wear tomorrow night, I'm going out for din dins with Justin somewhere in the west side :D Happy hump day! x x Stace FOLLOW TEE&FAME FACEBOOK | TUMBLR | INSTAGRAM

GIRL GIFT GUIDE

Image
So I'll have you know that today is actually the 4th of December. Meaning 22 DAYS 'TIL CHRISTMAS, HO HO HO! Seriously, the latter part of this year has just flown. I feel as if it was a couple of weeks ago that semester 2 at uni started. So it's THAT time of year when everyone is crazily trying to head to Melbourne Central or Highpoint or Chadstone Shopping Centre to get their present shopping done. And I don't need to remind you do I - it's a nightmare! The crowds, the grumpy sales assistants (I swear I'm not one of those!) and the time and money going into it all. So I've compiled a basic gift guide for you - this is the girls' edition - men's to come soon! I'm sure there is something in here to suit most of the lovely ladies in your life without breaking the bank :) Simply click on the image to purchase. Whaaat?! How did this happen? Anyway I'm in a frantic rush to organise my party and outfit and also keep on top of work/uni etc. but yeah that's why I've been blogging a lot less this month. Lame excuse but hey, it's true. I thought I'd indulge myself and make a little 'wishlist' of things I'm coveting. Most of which are totally out of the price range of a gift, and I'm not even asking for presents this year. BUT it's always nice to look at pictures of things you want, and it's really a goal for me to acquire these pretties while trying to save up, since I just bought a car ...

Easy Breezy by stacylong featuring yves saint-laurent ring Lanvin $970 - montaignemarket.com Zara flat sandals zara.com Yves Saint Laurent yves saint laurent ring saksfifthavenue.com Illesteva logo sunglasses $285 - avenue32.com So lately I've been a little bit "cbf" with clothes, shopping, outfits, my looks etc. I thought I'd just put together an easy breezy little outfit featuring just a plain old t-shirt. It's not always about going OTT with the bling or wearing designer dresses all the time - this look is simplicity at its best. This grey tee is from Pop Basic 's newest micro-collection titled "Sherwood". This "Grey Marl Tee" is the ultimate wardrobe staple. It has a v-neck and is perfect for tucking into high-waisted jeans. It is meant to be matched with a green pleated maxi and a pretty necklace. Check out Sherwood by Pop Basic here!! The ring & sunnies add enough pizazz to the outfit without grabbing attention fro...

WINTER WISHLIST #1

Image
Tony Bianco - 'BRAVE' Tony Bianco - 'DAYTON' ***** Winter is officially here; first and foremost, this means boots season for me! I don't know whether it's the tough and ready-for-anything vibe they give off, the way they click, confident and loud, when you walk along the street or maybe I just like being able to stomp around without fear of breaking my shoes...but boots have always been my favourite type of shoe. The two pairs above from Tony Bianco (seriously, what a man!) have really captured my heart this year. Top pair; sold by the chunky heel and the cute shaped gusset. Not to mention that the tab pull-on style brings me back to Grade Prep when little brown Chelsea boots were the only shoe I'd wear. The second pair? Tassels, studs and shiny leather - 'nuff said. Does anyone else share my love of boots? Which are your favourite types/what are you going to add to your collection this season? x x Stace

Falling into fall...

Autumn Essentials by stacy Minkpink Jumper | Wrangler Hi-Twiggy Jeans | Topshop chunky leather boots | Alexander Wang 'Diego' bag | Forever New curb chain necklace | MAC Saigon Summer lipstick | DIPTYQUE tea candle So please excuse the 'punny' title of this post; I really can't resist, it happens more often than it should and it makes me look dorky, but guys, it's nearly Autumn! My favourite season by far. The weather is still warm, yet the sun is never harsh. Leaves on the trees shed their greens which turn to golds, reds and browns fluttering around like butterflies. It is a truly beautiful season, but also one where us Melburnians must be prepared for any sort of weather ;) Top of my list of essentials for the upcoming month is jumper which is lightweight yet warm, and can be layered with a coat or scarf on those cooler days, or worn on its own in pleasant weather. I recommend a big animal print, such as a tiger, because animal print is still...

The reason for this little polyvore collage is a competition that Westfield is running at the moment to win $1000 worth of Samantha Wills jewellery! Excitement! I seriously wish I could afford the Ellery dress in this little collage... Ugh can't believe I'm at home Friday night...think I might go out later just so I can get dressed up and party! I'm seriously turning into a housewife since moving to this little cottage in South Yarra. These days I see no reason to venture further than ...
