I’m 21 years old and I’d have to say the overwhelming majority of my friends have had a drink of vodka. Whether you love it or hate it, it’s a staple of the alcoholic world. Vodka cruisers, vodka shots, and vodka sunrises…the list goes on.
Although I’m slightly past the stage where I was drinking vodka pre-mixers every weekend, I have always been loyal to vodka as my go-to drink. So I was genuinely intrigued to hear that apparently vodka powerhouse Smirnoff has a new product being launched soon…the Smirnoff Double Black bottle.

The 6-second teaser is mysterious, fleeting and dark; hopefully we’ll find out if that’s what it tastes like soon. Sounds like a good New Year’s Eve option – keep your eye out for it and I’ll keep you guys posted!
People on this Earth seem to have mixed emotions about crop tops - I think it's one of those 'love it or hate it' trends which pops up time and time again. I'm a big fan of the crop top but I do have certain conditions - no muffin tops being one of them. I also prefer for bellybuttons to be covered up, unless you're a supermodel or at the beach. Some people think it's vulgar to show your abdomen in public while others find it really edgy and cool. I tend to err on the side of caution and make sure I'm wearing something high waisted if I dare to go the crop.
It really helps my confidence too to have a snuggly rabbit cuddling me while I prance around in a tiny little crop top. I can hide away my skin and also keep my exposed bits warm! Fairground makes the greatest cardigans ever. I'm enjoying Melbourne's warmer Spring days but the weather is pretty much bi-polar as usual so layering is my friend. A very good friend.
It's the start of another week & already busy & I am almost done with uni for the year! Hallelujah.
When I think Resort collection, it makes me think tropical summer days lying on the beach. More specifically at the present moment, I'm dreaming of my Thailand trip coming up in January next year. Exactly 3 months from now, I will be relaxing on a sandy shore somewhere in Koh Samui sipping a cool drink in my bikinis!!
Anyway to me, Resort is about easy-to-wear and easy-to-style pieces which are light and breezy enough just to chuck over bathers, but also classy and that little bit 'nice' so you can dress them up for a night out. And C&M, Camilla & Marc's diffusion line, does just that. In short, this collection carries out its title's function - you can wear it...at a RESORT.
Camilla & Marc is a sophisticated and classy label, C&M like its cheeky little sister and this lookbook shows that well. I love the casual tees and the subtle pops of colour, matched with baseball caps and flirty hems. C&M a little sportier and a little more playful, but just as great quality in the designs.
With both casual & cocktail, metallics and lace with chambray and cool crisp whites, logo tees & sportluxe plus slouchy & structured pieces (and don't forget the bathers!), there really is something for every girl in this Resort collection.
It has been a busy few weeks! I've had heaps of 21st birthdays on, all of my friends from school are turning 21 (just like I did!) and I have barely had a weekend to just chill out. Not that I'm complaining, there is lots of yummy food & cake to be had at parties! The weather has also been heating up which is super lovely. I wore this outfit to a 21st last Saturday night, thought I'd share it with you guys.
The colour of my ASOS crop top is burgundy, well that's what I call it. But apparently the proper 'fashion' name for it is ox-blood. Descriptive. And evokes interesting things in my mind. But anyhoo, I love red and I love the way the floral skirt goes with the crop. In my opinion crop tops can be tasteful as long as you're not wearing really low-riding jeans or hipster skirts. Muffin tops are evil!
Have a good week everybody. Back to uni this week *sigh*.
Country Road is one of those stores that every lady (and lots of guys too) will admit to owning a few pieces from. Anyone from the hippest teenage slave-to-trends, to the 30-year-old business woman, to the older or retired lady can find stuff to suit them at CR. I've got CR jeans that I've worn to death and also a couple of t-shirts, and judging by these pics I will own a little more this summer!
Country Road is full of minimalism, simplicity but also cutting-edge newness and this newest collection is no exception. The clothes are structured and minimal but also trendy and unique. My type of clothes for sure, although sometimes I find it hard to justify full price Country Road as I am a student saving for overseas trips and who eats a whole lot of food for my size :P
Monochromatic is always clean and professional, and I like the frills, prints and leather thrown in there too!
I guess there's a few more items now to add to my wish-list (that's really NOT a good thing) there's only so much my bank account & wallet can take :S
