Woman in Red

Image
ASOS cropped top, $13.60 Ladakh skirt via Beginning Boutique Sportsgirl floral backseam tights / round sunnies / chunky scarf Stella McCartney for Target bangle Beginning Boutique ring Wittner boots I've been buying a lot of red lately. I love the colour red in clothing, it reminds me of so many different things - some good, some not-so-good - fire, passion, tomatoes, lipstick, blood, strawberries, rubies, traffic lights...and it suits my skin tone too. Winner! This croptop is similar to an American Apparel one I've been eyeing off for a while, but it's less than half the price - plus I had to use my 50 pound ASOS voucher from uNiDays! The scarf I bought on the Sportsgirl website on VOSN, so I got 20% of and free shipping :) This skirt I got from BB and I adore it. It has a suede-like feel to it but it's also kinda velvety, and the little gold cowgirl detail on the waistband adds a little somethin' somethin' to it too. Also - I...

Winter Solstice.

Image
Today: I was meeting a good friend for coffee in Degraves St, she was running heaps late due to being in London interning for the last 6 months and her body-clock being all whacked up ...ANDDD my train took the city loop. So I took a detour to Melbourne Central :) It was fate. So I found out that Wittner are having a $100 & under leather boot sale!!!! Hells yeahhhhhh. I couldn't resist heading in and hunting down a bargain ;) Picked up these Wittner 'Cookie' ankle boots in Black Pony Hair for $100 and they are absolutely INCREDIBLE. So comfy, and they look amazeballs. I can't stop stroking them oh my god haha that's creepy isn't it? Shhhhhhh guys. After catching up with above-mentioned been-in-London friend (she had so many stories to tell me!), I saw my lovely muso buddy Cotter who's living in Tasmania atm. He's a singer-songwriter and a saxophone player. I miss him heaps! Here he is, isn't he cute :) Yep we got caught in...

opening ceremony x adidas originals

Image
Opening Ceremony have collaborated with adidas Originals on a FW12 capsule collection to launch the London Olympics in style, and also to celebrate Opening Ceremony's first London store. I am a definite fan of this super cool collab! Diggin' the 90s + sport-luxe vibe to these pieces; it's like 90s street attitude had a baby with swimming and cycling to produce bold florals and paisleys and bright colours blended with, according to OC, 'dynamic' fabrics: you've got dry-swim spandex, neoprene, nylon twills, and reflective finishes married to incredibly crisp & sleek cuts. This collection will be available next month so keep your eyes out for when it hits stores (and probably blogger & celeb wardrobes!) Shot by Josh Olins and styled by Jay Massacret, the campaign features models Xiao Wen Ju, Camille Rowe, Jordan Torres, and Shane Gibson. What do you guys think? Do these pieces translate to everyday wear? x x Stace FACEBOOK //...

Tom Gunn - Melbourne launch.

Image
Shannon & Gabrielle, Tom Gunn designers! Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the launch party of Aussie label Tom Gunn 's Melbourne store on Howey Place, just off Little Collins St in the CBD. And boy, was it a wonderful store! Designers Gabrielle Thompson and Shannon Gunn launched their first collection of women's footwear in 2008, and since then they have become a well-adored brand, I first saw their shoes on The Iconic earlier this year, and I was drawn to the gorgeous leathers, rich colours and unique cut-outs and shapes. On arrival, I was greeted with champagne and mini cupcakes - amazing food and amazing shoes - what more could a girl want? I had an interesting time talking to both designers for Tom Gunn, as well as Megan Todd, brains behind the genius Knots & Knits bags you've seen in the above pics - they're hand-knitted with giant knitting needles! The space itself is minimal, small yet cosy and showcases the best ...

staple + stylestalker.

Stylestalker teen spirit dress (from Dakota 501 ) / Staple the Label knit jumper (get it @ The Iconic )/ Alannah Hill thigh-high socks / Tony Bianco (old) suede wedges Beginning Boutique ring / Chanel peridot nail polish Finally easing into Winter - it's a bit of a love/hate relationship for me. On the one hand I hate the wind and the rain and the cold - I've always been a music festival/beach/ice-cream/carefree picnic-ing sun-lover..but on the other hand snuggling up in bed with a cup of tea and a book is my ultimate luxury, & I'm in love with Winter fashion and layering and scarves and boots!! This outfit is one of my faves - it's comfy as hell AND acceptable to wear out ;) Got the black stylestalker dress from dakota 501 on Chapel St, I live basically a 5 minute walk from that store and they stock the most incredible pieces... which is awesome but also really, really bad :/ Oooh & & & I bought my first Chanel nail polish...

Self-explanatorily amazeballs. Long-sleeve Knit Jumper. Perfection in a grey knit with boxy cut-out at the front :) These items would be welcomed into my Winter wardrobe, seriously. I did tentatively make June a no-new-clothes month...but sales adasafsgfhsdhsg!! Went shopping with mama bear today and bought her a Decjuba scarf and Metalicus cardigan on sale - so that was lovely. Somehow managed to resist buying anything for myself so I'm pretty damn proud! GIVEAWAY: The Dark Horse

Image
I love designer jewellery . I also love contests and giveaways. Now that tee+fame blog has reached 400 friends on GFC I think it's time to combine the two and give a little something back to my loyal followers! THE DARK HORSE is an online jewellery boutique focusing on selling jewellery from around the globe. The boutique is influenced by the beauty surrounding us, aiming to make unique, niche and international designer pieces attainable. The awesome thing about this store is that it is offering a take home lay-by system , which means you can pay off an item while you wear it! I'm personally crazily obsessed with being able to lay-by stuff, I think it's an awesome invention! The jewellery we wear tells a story of who we are, where we have been or who we want to be. THE DARK HORSE will defs have the right piece of jewellery for you to express who you are :) There are some amazing pieces from some of my favourite jewellery brands, including Low Luv by Erin Was...
