This is Romance Was Born's most wearable collection to date in my opinion!

Kudos to Luke and Anna for keeping the super wacky and trendy pieces coming while presenting something that you and I can wear to work (maybe not, but still)!






Girl Guides aren’t usually considered style icons, but they are one of the inspirations behind Romance Was Born’s AW12 collection. ‘Happy Campers’ ft. embroidered denim, shearling panels, Pendleton-esque prints, fluro piping and pockets, knapsacks and parkas - SOOO Girl Guides! Abbey Lee Kershaw. First impression: "They kept sending her over to hang out. I wasn't sure why, neither was she."

Daul Kim. First impression: "We just connected in a nerdy bloggy kind of way; lots of staring and grunting sounds."

Can you imagine a time when Miranda Kerr was upstaged by some blonde or Abbey Lee was unsure of herself? These snaps are test polaroid shots of Douglas Perrett, founder and creative director of casting agency COACD. They were taken between the year 2000 and 2010. How adorable do these little supermodels look?! Naw.

Perrett has compiled these shots into a book, unfortunately there are only going to 250 copies of the book printed, to be used as gifts for COACD’s client list.

Hope you enjoyed these images though! It's nice to see the way these girls have grown into the beautiful, confident women they are today. Like the ugly duckling becoming a swan. Not that any of these girls are even remotely close to ugly - they're all stunning and always have been!

Hopefully one day I'll turn into a swan...hahaha NOT. I'll just resign myself to being a duck :)

My oldest friend Claire (I've actually known her since we were babies!) got her driver's license on the weekend!! YAY :) To celebrate, we decided to go to the local beach and enjoy (hopefully not the last) of the lovely summer weather we've been having here in Melbourne. The sunset there was just amazing, I felt like I was in paradise and not at Willy beach! Finally get a chance to flaunt my new bathers on the blog too hehe.

I know, the title of this post is lame. But I had to use the word orange somewhere, as this outfit is in honor of Pantone's 2012 Colour of the Year, Tangerine Tango.




I'll admit, at first I was like dude I'm gonna look like an orange, but heck I'm 19 and I'm allowed to experiment with fashion right? Anyway the subtle brown-orangey patterns on the kimono soften the glare of the bright pants.



One Teaspoon havenstock kimono, Kmart panelled singlet, Valleygirl cuffed pants, Mum's totes hippie belt, Tony Bianco leather clogs.

One Teaspoon kimonos are actually the best thing. I feel kinda like a cross between a stylish superhero in a print cape and a Japanese princess who fell into a pot of dip-dye. It's so light and breezy, plus it blows around in the wind and it covers my shoulders which means I avoid looking like a lobster when I go out in the sun.



Anyway. Loving my "tangerine" pants as well. Grabbed the last pair on sale at Valleygirl for $14.95, winner! They're a little too big but having my pants fall down is totally worth having these tailored, perfectly crinkled cheapies in my wardrobe :')

Hope everyone had a good January, the first month of this year has literally flown by. Big Day Out pics coming in the next few days I hope! Getting them scanned and edited and such as soon as I post this post. Wew, it was SUCH a good day and I saw so many good bands!!! I kinda wish I'd brought a digital camera so I could take more pics, but ah well I have the memories in here *points to head* and -cheesy grin-
